At CHARACTER COUNTS!, we're working to help teachers teach universal values, and provide resources, training, and even hope to schools that need all the support we can provide. The Josephson Institute's CHARACTER COUNTS! initiative helps teachers create a culture of kindness so students can truly learn, trains administrators to focus on growth instead of survival, and encourages school districts to manage their employees with values-based ethics. In turn, more students will graduate with good judgment to help make life better for us all.

Over the past year, we've provided free CHARACTER COUNTS! lesson plans, e-newsletters, blogs, a quotations bank, resources for parents, strategies, networking, inspiration, and research from all over the globe. Over 60 countries downloaded these resources from our website.
We worked to help transform the island of Puerto Rico's schools and government offices into a model of how an ethics-based culture can perform. We helped businesses develop values-based strategies to keep them on track in today's most competitive business environment.
