Character Development Seminars give educators a variety of tools to implement an effective and sustainable character education program. They can also award teachers with an hour or more of graduate credit.
Credits are generally used for teacher certification and/or salary enhancement purposes. Consult with your academic program first if you plan to transfer the credit to a degree program. Local policies on CEUs vary, so please find out your local requirements. We will be happy to provide a signed certificate of completion to qualifying CDS graduates.
All Character Development Seminar participants have the opportunity to earn one hour of graduate credit through Drake University Continuing Education and Professional Development.
Once registered, students will be sent specific information about the assignment. The assignment is due no later than 120 calendar days after the completion of the CDS. Call the Drake Continuing Education and Professional Development Office with questions at: 1-800-76-TEACH.
