Iowa Governor Terry E. Branstad issued a proclamation for National CHARACTER COUNTS! Week on Wednesday, urging all public employees to seek out opportunities to emphasize the Six Pillars of Character in their work with young people in order to promote character development.
Last month, the U.S. Senate unanimously passed Resolution #569, declaring the week of October 21-27,2012 to be National CHARACTER COUNTS! Week. On October 19, President Barack Obama did the same, issuing a Presidential Proclamation in support of CC! Week 2012.
