Should there be a Mr. America pageant?

We recently interviewed Miss Illinois, a 2010 Miss America contestant, who is promoting character education. A lot of folks think pageant contests are sexist.

What do you think — would it make a difference if there were similar contests for men?

  1. There have been Mr. America pageants for years–focusing on muscularity and athleticism. Who decides what we value most. Athleticism is okay, but so is personality, intelligence, courage, service to others–ooh yes–character!

  2. Um of course why do men get all the fun. Seriously come on lets be fair here. Any straight girl can’t say that wouldn’t be fun to watch…psh we don’t have to be the only ones showing our bods about time that we get to be entertained
