CHARACTER COUNTS! School Agendas from Alliance Publishing and Marketing, Inc., are a valuable resource to implement or reinforce the Josephson Institute’s Model Standards for Academic, Social, Emotional, and Character Development. Teachers and parents can easily introduce youth to the Institute’s CHARACTER COUNTS! 5.0 Wheels of Success program, designed to help students advance academically, grow socially and emotionally, and build their character, using 48 convenient weekly discussion ideas, which include people of character profiles and motivational exercises. Agendas can be customized with options such as cover personalization, school handbooks and hall passes. Teacher editions and full-color people of character posters are also available.
Dave Kinnoin is an award-winning children’s songwriter and performer who wrote and recorded the songs on the much-loved CD CHARACTER COUNTS! Strikes a Chord. One principal said Dave’s assembly program “was a huge hit with our 4th and 5th grade students here at Old River School. It was motivating and engaging. Obediah Thomas, of the children’s performance troupe Razzle Bam Boom, performs The Character Show to educate children and families about positive values and preventing bullying. His songs include: Doing What I’m Supposed to Do, Time to be Terrific, Citizenship, Life Isn’t Always Fair, and Respect Mambo.
The husband-and-wife team of Dave and Jody Van Kley present a 45- to 50-minute musical assembly on The Six Pillars of Character that gets elementary school students involved in sing-alongs and choreography.
