This month’s free featured lesson plan speeds in the fun with the characters from Auto-B-Good. This popular character education series of books and DVDs is available in our store, including a brand new disc with ELA activities, but is not required for the lesson.
The lesson will introduce elementary students to a group of automobile friends while they the review the Six Pillars of Character. Students can use the provided handout to color and cut out the cars and make small popsicle stick puppets, which are a great tool for having the students share ideas and skits about character-related issues.
The lesson combines some arts and crafts with a bit of English language arts to give students a fun exploration of the pillars. Check out the lesson here, and remember to browse the lesson plan bank for more fun ideas.
