#CharacterEdChat – Thursday Chats on the Technology of Building Character

teacher-smartphone_flickr-CERDECOver the next few weeks, we will feature guest educators and technology leaders  in our character education chats. Join us every 1st and 3rd Thursday at 4:00 p.m. (Pacific) to discuss creative ways educators can use social media and technology to help young people develop the Six Pillars of Character.

To participate, go to twubs.com/CharacterEdChat and sign in with your Twitter account.

Chat session guests will include teachers who are using social media and other digital means of communication in the classroom. We’ll hear from technology experts and education leaders who are working to maximize the benefits of technology at their schools. We’ll also discuss how schools are dealing with cyberbullying and other electronic communications abuses.

We hope you’ll chime in with questions or comments. Please share what you’re doing to ensure that character development is part of your school’s or organization’s DNA — electronic or otherwise. And if you have an idea for a chat session topic, please post a comment here to let us know. Thanks!

We’re looking forward to chatting with you!

  1. Idea for chat session topic: the new tolerance in today’s society. (It is becoming more and more apparent this new tolerance is really intolerance of those who don’t tolerate behaviors of somebody elses aberrant behaviors, although they may truly care for that person.
