CHARACTER COUNTS! has obvious appeal for grant makers, but the best grant-seeking approach (and whom to approach) is often not obvious at all.
Many schools pay for character education materials and training with federal funding under Titles I and II for professional development, or Title IV Safe and Drug Free Schools. You may also consider approaching a private organization, and check to see if the legislature in your state has allocated funds for character education.
