Not content to leave character education in the school room, Beaver Dam’s CHARACTER COUNTS! Steering Committee challenged businesses, service organizations and individuals to perform 2,000 hours of community service throughout the Week. The response: 5,000 service hours performed, recorded on a thermometer-like chart for all to see at a Week-ending community festival.
