Fort Lewis, WA: Summer of Character at Fort Lewis

In August 2003 the students of Beachwood Summer Camp entered the Fort Lewis and Graham Fairs and won yellow ribbons. The children received the fairness award and a character pin on August 16, 2003. They also worked on a news kids team. They gathered information on Sports Academy, volleyball, wresting, rock climbing, and other activities, and planned September’s “Character on Parade.” In addition, Pierce County agent Nancy Basket came to the center on July 25 to do 4-H judging, and county representatives met with all kindergarten groups and school-age clubs. “Thank you to all the clubs!” said CC! coordinator Debby Shepard. “The kids are great!!!!”
