Two major events highlighted the celebration at the Rocky Point Middle School. On October 22 and 23 student government representatives planted hundreds of daffodil bulbs near the September 11th memorial. And on October 25, guidance counselors escorted 30 students to the Kids in Action Youth Conference at Farmingdale University, where they discussed how students could contribute to their community and the world.
