Students at Oak Valley Elementary School began a program reading books that shed light on the Six Pillars of Character. Each grade will study six to eight works, chosen for their level using the list on the CC! website. They will read the books at home, with parents’ help and involvement if necessary. After completing each work, students will write a brief paragraph describing how it illustrated the Pillar, and receive a certificate. A class bar chart will track the students’ progress throughout the year.
