- A large banner reading “Celebrate CHARACTER COUNTS!” was hung across Old Town Manassas Center Street.
- A table display was placed in the lobby of City Hall.
- All area schools were asked to advertise CC! Week on their marquees.
- The PWC Bar Association sponsored a Six Pillar essay contest. One winner was selected for each Pillar, and was given a “Pillar medallion” and a $50 gift certificate. The winning essays were displayed at the Manassas Mall.
- The city council proclaimed Manassas a CC! city.
- Local restaurants and the food court at the mall featured placemats displaying the Six Pillars for children to color.
- The utility company included an insert about CC! Week with all 40,000 residents' utility bills.
